“I see today that everyone on earth
wants the answer to the same question
but none has the language to ask it.”
~ Jim Harrison from Songs of Unreason
We are down to the last week of this insanity… I mean, Unreasonableness. Everyone is welcome to join us in the challenge! Let the quote above inspire you to write, post & credit Harrison, link back here in the comments. Then give yourself a wonderful treat and read what other unreasonable poets have written. Enjoy! ~ Jilly
You were right the first time….insanity! But guess what? I think I’ve become a little smarter with all this mental stretching. Right, off to ponder this one. Take care, Jilly!

I’ve just springboarded right off this and into something/where else. Only a week to go! I’m going to miss it, in a strange kind of way…

As I said to another poet, it is all in how we view that enigmatic line. If we are true to Harrison, he likely meant the question of which wine to serve 😉

Can’t win ’em all—another sodding migraine. Too tired to fight it.
I picked the bones
out of the quote
and was left with nothing,
not even the glib.

Crud! Must take care of that migraine, my friend! Hope it is soon soothed. 🙂

I’ve never had more than five in a cluster, so another two days maxi. I hope you’ve planned a nice soothing quote for tomorrow 🙂

Nah. Tomorrow’s is pure insanity. It IS Harrison, after all. 🙂

I managed a completely different poem today, dedicated to my bird-brained youngest.

It’s really all in how you look at it. Devilishly brilliant choice for a prompt, Jill!

True, Charley. It is all in how we look at that enigmatic line 😉 If we are true to the man, he likely meant which wine to serve.

Which wine to serve with roast beast… or prime rib of beast.

I think I’m always last up here. So I went a bit different. Here’s mind, and I’ll be back later to read, or not–depends on how much wine I have. 😉

Here’s mine, I meant. Mind, mine. And I haven’t had any wine yet. Haha.

Did you say ‘wine?’ Tad early, but just bought a bottle of something French that Harrison drank. Must open it and be unreasonable.

I hope you did!
We went out to a local winery with daughter and son-in-law. She was celebrating the end of her school year. 🙂

Hahaha! Made me laugh! You are not the last one – Q didn’t post yesterday until after I’d had too much wine to stay awake. Which explains why he jumped in early today. Poetic penance. 🙂
