Day 1 of 28 Days of Unreason 2018

Welcome to Year Three of 28 Days of Unreason!

For the past two years I have relied on quotes from one of my favorite poets, Jim Harrison, to jump-start my writing. It is called Days of Unreason because I pulled the lines from his book Songs of Unreason.  This year I went deeper and am using quotes from other Harrison poems, as well.  Each morning I will post the daily quote by Harrison and then let it do what it will do throughout the day.  Hopefully, I will post a poem before the day is over that is somehow inspired by that line.  This is pretty informal; if you care to join in once or twenty-eight times, feel free to share what you have written.  If enough poets decide they want to jump in and a Mr. Linky becomes helpful, I will gladly include that.  Cheers!  ~Jilly

when bones tire of their flesh
and want something better.”

    1. My philosophy on The 28 Days of Unreason: Be unreasonable. Does the line kick off something? Anything? Harrison was a rebel. Let’s be rebels. Oh, and he liked to eat well and drink wine. That works, too. 🙂
