Honor

Knockouts in carmine

Fistful of blooms thrown downwind

Shiner’s delight

Author’s Note:  Regardless of politics, of leadership, of perceptions at home or abroad, this poet will not bloody the face of this, or any nation, on this blog. I am deeply saddened by what I read that serves to divide.  I choose honor; I can only give that example to the rising generations.  I choose to rise above. Oh, and the Knockout Rose is my personal favorite 🙂

  1. Terrific, huge punch in the first line, sends petals strewn everywhere. But the only reference I can find to Shiner’s delight is for bock beer they make in Texas. Once of my favorites too, but I suspect that wasn’t your intention!

    1. Thank you, Charley. Mom always told me that if I stoop to the level of those who are less than honorable, I am putting myself at that same level. I try to model her lesson to my best ability, especially for my kiddos at school.
      I appreciate you.
