live oaks retain life
November the joyous month
southern doors flung wide
thankful for reprieve from heat
we walk in the midday sun

November is the most beautiful month in Florida. It is a time of returning to life and being outside; this is our season of life.
I’m in the south too, way at the bottom end of Africa. The summer heat can be dangerous these days.

I know that one! We don’t don’t walk in the midday sun in July. We are in Florida and it is fall, but fall, winter & spring are glorious; it is the summer that kills us!

Same here, though I wish we have more sun. Stay cool!

A refreshing poem! We finally have a bit of a chill here. I’d prefer if we could just skip right over winter and go straight to spring at this point, but I guess the seasons don’t really care what I think. 🙂
