Kiss (A Fib)

This
Is
Only
A test of
Your patience to with
Stand all that this life can throw at
You while the seas rise
And fall and
Tumult’s
‘round
You

Don’t
Flinch Catch
The ball that’s
Flung hurdled straight on
With the sun in your eyes blinding
You to the truth of all you squint at and do not see
It is beauty that grabs you by the neck
and will not release you
until you kiss it
full on
the
mouth

I love this! The fib is a fun form — and you are the queen of forms! You have left much to mull with few words.

  2. Ah, the fib! I haven’t tried this form in a while. This is all kinds of wonderful.

    1. True story – my Seniors were taking an online end of course test yesterday and the wifi crashed. I told them it was actually a test of their patience and, voila! it became a poem!
