We walk the bottom of an ocean we call sky

Swim without water in the delirious smooth sea
Smell the raw red rain
Luscious lovely lake of mist
Music will whisper in the sad sky
And stop to worship as we recall a thousand
Pictures in the purple sea where
Repulsive we soar
Crying for the milk of summer’s breast

  1. There are times, Jilly, when I am certain you are tuned in to the deeper Harrison! Your poem sings. You poem carries water colors, water music, and water babies like me. I love the alliteration, and the near-alliteration you use, along with the startling imagery. Brilliant!

You live on a stormy land that encourages you to look to the heights for greater inspiration. And you are inspired in this effort, Jilly.
